As a GIS Professional with a passion for outdoors, I have gained valuable skills and experiences in map design, ArcGIS Pro, and park management. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography: Geographic Information Systems in 2017, and since then I have worked as a Water Resources Technician at the City of Santa Barbara, a Cartographer at Maps.com, and a Park Ranger Trainee at the County of Santa Barbara.At Maps.com, I produced custom paper maps for various clients, created locator maps for classified customers, built educational products and supporting maps for the Maps101 program, and designed interactive web-based maps for private and public use. I also provided excellent customer service and communication skills to all current and prospective clients. At the County of Santa Barbara, I performed daily maintenance of county parks, beach access points, and trails, served as a trail assistant to aid visitor experience and safety, interacted with visitors and promoted park rules and regulations, and enforced laws and regulations within parks for campgrounds, trails, and nature preserves. I enjoyed learning new hands-on and social skills that will propel my career forward. I am currently searching for my perfect geospatial role that will allow me to apply my GIS and map design skills, as well as my love for nature and outdoor activities.Go grab a map and get outside!
