Upon the success of our 2020 aerial imagery project, where we helped Santa Barbara regional participants get high resolution imagery, we are now focused on developing a new collaborative program for future regional projects. Our company ZWORLD GIS has the resources and staff to expand the spirit of collaboration beyond what has been typical individual aerial projects. We are currently planning an aerial imagery program that will span into the year 2030, and that will entail participation in the combined region of San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, and Ventura County. Our goal is to make acquiring aerial imagery for participants a cost effective strategy for their operations, getting high quality products at reduced costs. Our company has plans to expand both vertically and horizontally in the amount of agencies that can participate. Larger coverage areas and more participants means driving the total cost down per individual participant, and our company has a plan to execute this new type of regional program.

Working within the Channel Islands Regional Geographic Information Systems (CIRGIS) to assist with the planning, design, and implementation of the next Central Coast Aerial Imagery Acquisition Project.

The CIRGIS is a regional collaborative for the collection, preparation and sharing of spatial data. Its purpose is to facilitate the development and maintenance of an ongoing public-private partnership for sharing and expanding the use of spatial data to foster informed community decision making, innovative business development, environmental management and education in the Channel Islands region of California

As the County GIS Manager overseeing all aspects of a County Enterprise GIS program which includes: developing and implementing a County GIS Strategic Plan; managing GIS web based application projects for both internal County staff as well as the public; implementing GIS policy and standards; participating in annual budgeting and procurement process for GIS; developing sustainable GIS revenue opportunities; recruiting and training GIS staff; managing the County GIS Internship program; and coordinating GIS based systems for the County Office of Emergency Services (OES) for Public Safety initiatives as well as GIS applications for County law enforcement, land records, environmental, infrastructure, and education and public outreach objectives.

Secretary position functioning for CIRGIS

As the Department of Public Works GIS Supervisor, main assigned tasks and responsibilities included: supervised GIS staff; oversaw the mapping and GIS data creation of the Public Works Capital Assets; and developed GIS solution within the Water Resources, Transportation, Surveying, and Resource Recovery operations.

Program duties included: supported the Civil Engineering squadron of the Nellis AFB; maintained ESRI SDE geodatabase with Oracle; assisted with training field staff with using GPS/Trimble equipment; created GIS data, map, and storage standards through Spatial Data Standards Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) standards; and created supporting documentation.
