Name of firm changed, but company remained the same. Became a registered architect. My tasks remained the same, but included supervising multiple jobs simultaneously. Also was fully in charge of K-Mart projects (50) which included travel to Troy, MI for meetings with corporate members. During this tenure, an employee named Harry Harris was hired which led to another great working relationship. Michael Hindman was named a partner and opened a branch office in Nashville. In 1991, the economy suffered a downturn and the partnership was amicably disolved. Michael remained in Nashville to start H. Michael Hindman Architects and in 1992 he invited me to join the firm. Fresh out of college, looking for a break before beginning graduate studies. Great job learning how the inner workings of a municipal planning department works. Couldn't ask for a better location, Galveston, Texas, my hometown. On the beach or sewall nearly every day after work until sunset. Married. Returned to TAMU for masters degree.
