This program monitored usage statistics and classified Virtual Machines (VM) as either 'active' or 'inactive'. If the VM was inactive, an email would be sent out to its owner giving them the option to shut the VM down or remind them later. The program would then read the response, store and then act on the requested action.I developed dashboards using PowerBI to quickly and effectively communicate information about the status of all VMs to the infrastructure manager. The data for these dashboards was stored in a CSV file created by the program.I also wrote an 'Introduction to SQL & Data Integration' document aimed at familiarising other internal teams with databases and SQL. It covered topics such as best practices, different types of databases, housekeeping, normalisation, SQL queries and a list of common jargon.I gained a lot of valuable experience through my internship and am looking forward to applying these skills in future employment.
