•I am responsible for advising and consulting with the Chief of Logistics on all Warehouse, Supply, Receiving, Distribution issues and overseeing property management issues as needed. I am also responsible for performing the administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff I supervise. •I re-established a positive security within the Library of Congress warehouse, and a solid chain of custody for material from origin to destination by implementing a process which assured signature transfer of accountability for all materials entering or leaving the Logistics Section. Positive control was re-established with an auditable paper trail, security enhancements such as additional cameras, segregation of duties of key staff members and installation of two security fences.•I oversaw the initial installation of an automated warehouse management system at the Library of Congress Annex which integrated all of the warehouse functions.•I Co-Chaired a Loading Dock Task Force committee which initiated a program that restored sound operations to the Library of Congress Loading dock by instituting a Clean Dock Policy which reduced the amount of material physically on the loading dock to only that being staged for immediate further movement.•I provided training to all my employees and supervisors in every aspect of their responsibilities. I trained as necessary, to assure that each employee had a working skill of all computer applications used, including basic applications knowledge.•I established guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. I provide informal feedback and periodically evaluate employee performance. I resolve informal complaints and grievances and develop work improvement plans, I recommend personnel actions as necessary.

As the General Manager I was responsible for six direct managers which included one Human Resources manager and a staff of 250 plus indirect employees. I was responsible for over 4.5 million dollars in inventory which generated revenue between 31 million to 40 million dollars annually. In addition, I was responsible for in-depth analyzing of P&L information and taking appropriate and decisive action to meet budget expectations.•I increased profit over previous year by 7% and sales over previous year by 14.9%.•I introduced innovation to correct inventory levels by 37 plus % and boosted product fill rates to a record high of 95%.•I assembled a competent team and initiated pay for performance program that led to increases in productivity and employee retention.•I was responsible for completing market surveys for the opening of new stores to determine product demands and coordinating with product representatives to establish inventory.•I oversaw and ensured that time line where met when opening a new store location from the beginning point of construction to the grand opening of the store location.•I was responsible for working with the district manger to establish yearly sales and operational budget to ensure financial growth.•I was responsible for promoting a diverse workforce that supported individual growth based on far and equal treatment of qualified employees.
