Current•I am responsible for advising and consulting with the Chief of Logistics on all Warehouse, Supply, Receiving, Distribution issues and overseeing property management issues as needed. I am also responsible for performing the administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff I supervise. •I re-established a positive security within the Library of Congress warehouse, and a solid chain of custody for material from origin to destination by implementing a process which assured signature transfer of accountability for all materials entering or leaving the Logistics Section. Positive control was re-established with an auditable paper trail, security enhancements such as additional cameras, segregation of duties of key staff members and installation of two security fences.•I oversaw the initial installation of an automated warehouse management system at the Library of Congress Annex which integrated all of the warehouse functions.•I Co-Chaired a Loading Dock Task Force committee which initiated a program that restored sound operations to the Library of Congress Loading dock by instituting a Clean Dock Policy which reduced the amount of material physically on the loading dock to only that being staged for immediate further movement.•I provided training to all my employees and supervisors in every aspect of their responsibilities. I trained as necessary, to assure that each employee had a working skill of all computer applications used, including basic applications knowledge.•I established guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. I provide informal feedback and periodically evaluate employee performance. I resolve informal complaints and grievances and develop work improvement plans, I recommend personnel actions as necessary.
