I supported two published authors with information management and bibliographic research as they embarked on new writing projects.

- SECRET clearance- Drafted and updated guidance and Web pages to improve submission process and ensurestandardization of protocols and submissions. - Led crowdsourcing effort to revise and update DTIC’s decades-old thesaurus to enhance information architecture and data governance and standardize diverse taxonomy and vocabulary. - Collaborated with employees from across DTIC to assess and improve existing informationarchitecture. - Played key role in the development and launch of PubDefense, DoD’s portal for public access toconference papers, and related material, that are the result of DoD and ODNI/IARPA-fundedresearch. - Outreach to small business contractors and U.S. Navy labs to ensure compliance with requirement tosubmit research to DTIC, the Department of Defense repository for research and engineeringdocuments, improving compliance by nearly 100 percent in one fiscal year. - June 2016 Employee of the Month award in recognition of outstanding efforts to improvecollaboration with small business contractors and U.S. Navy labs and efforts to enhance andstandardize the DTIC thesaurus.

- Working closely with stakeholders from across the agency, collaborated on the development of aninformation architecture to enhance searchability and findability of all GAO products on both theexternal GAO website as well as the agency’s intranet. - Collaborated with agency’s public affairs and information technology departments to assess agency’sweb site and ensure compliance with federal standards and best practices. - Crafted and executed sophisticated searches of Web-based resources to retrieve relevant,authoritative literature to achieve engagement objectives. - Assessed online and print resources, including content management system platforms, to determinerelevance and utility for GAO. - Incorporating feedback from stakeholders from across the agency, wrote GAO guidance "Guidelinesfor Assessing Web-based Sources of Information." - Agency-wide awards included: Meritorious Service Award, 2011; Customer Service Award, 2009; BigPicture Award, 2009; Results through Teamwork Award, 2008, 2011

- Provided reference and research assistance to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty andmembers of the public, often performing complex literature and statistical searches using a variety ofdatabases and database structures as well as the online public access catalog. - Developed reference and instruction tools for use by faculty, staff and students. - Routinely collaborated with faculty to conduct bibliographic instruction sessions for undergraduates. -- Produced content, edited and supervised Web design of the university libraries' newsletter.

- Regularly interviewed executives, industry experts, labor leaders, and rank-and-file workers forfeatures and breaking news stories. - Indiana Society of Professional Journalists Award, 2003: Third place, business writing, for "ShiftingGears," a three-part series examining the downturn of the region's automotive supply industry.

- Primary beat included elementary, secondary and higher education. - Regularly interviewed state and local school officials, teachers, and national education experts toreport on issues including initial implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, curriculum, schoolchoice, testing, school finance, governance, and facilities. - Additional duties included coverage of public safety issues, municipal governments and countycourts. - Indiana Society of Professional Journalists Award, 2003: Third place, non-deadline writing forcollaboration on the series "Underage Drinking: The Sober Truth." - Hoosier State Press Association Award, 2002: First place, in-depth feature, for collaboration on"Underage Drinking: the Sober Truth.”
