Monitored the fall migration of raptor species in the Marin Headlands, CA in collaboration with 250+ volunteers. Conducted daily raptor counts for 19 species with a 10+ person field team; trapped and banded raptors using North American Banding Council protocols. Entered data into a Microsoft Access database and authored blog posts about the raptor.

San Luis Obispo County, CA

Conducted nest surveys for Black Oystercatchers, a CDFW Species of Special Concern, using binoculars, spotting scopes, and standardized protocols. Mapped nest sites using GPS and Google Earth.
