I started my "adult" career in the military (U.S Army Hooah) and slowly progressed to schooling (emphasis on slowly). My background is in electronics because it was really fascinating to me and I excelled in anything electrical. I earned an electronics technology diploma and shortly after, earned an A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology. At this point, I found my dream job as a test development engineer - solving problems using technology! Eventually my dream job ended and I was laid off (contract work) so back to school for me. I started a computer integrated manufacturing degree program which went well for a few years . . . then a military opportunity came to my door - knocking hard. I spent the next 17 years on active duty until I retired in 2021.I have a lot of different experience in a lot of different areas (human resources, logistics, IT, electronics). I settled on trying to excel at cyber security which is where I am now having completed Divergence Academy's CPPT program with the CompTIA Sec+ certification! I have found a new passion in life and that is Penetration testing (Ethical hacking)! I simply cannot get enough and I'm constantly online diving into another CTF room on Hack The Box or Try Hack Me. My dream job is now Penetration Tester (but I’m open to any cyber job actually) and I'm working hard to get the experience and skills to put me there! I'm growing on a daily basis!
