I have found a nice home at Refresco. The people are well qualified, hard working and most have great attitudes concerning people and the company. My role here is directing transport for our produced finished product and our ordered raw materials. We ship approximately 10 trailers a day. Some days it may double. This is always a good thing. I also manage the receiving portion of our incoming ordered raw materials. I assist with inventory and also sometimes participate in all other positions such as order filling, loading, unloading, etc. I like being involved in everything we do here. My other duties consist of reports, BOL creating, data entry, record keeping, program maintenance, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, training, organizing and just doing as much as I can to help us all to have a great, productive day. Yep, I think I have found home.

I came back with the new company in May 2013 after the old went bankrupt in November 2012. I resumed my position as Receiving Manager. The ordering was being done by procurement at the home office in Emporia. After many failed attempts to find someone at our Columbus Georgia bakery to take over the ordering, corporate decided to ask me to take it on. I gave up the position as the Receiving Manager to aid the company and fill the Order Management Specialist position.

November 2011 I accepted the Receiving Managers position. I was responsible for the ordering, receiving, inventorying, safe storing, and record keeping of all ingredient and packaging needs for the production of our products. I had an inventory control assistant and 5 warehouse employees under my supervision. While serving as the Receiving Manager, I received knowledge on food safety, BRC, AIB and state inspections. I held this position November 2011 to November 2012. I lost this position due to the bakery closing.

I took on this position at the request of the Logistics Manager. The shipping department was implementing an automated system known as WMS (Warehouse Management System). I am known to be a fast learner and computer savvy. I aided with getting the new system implemented and everyone trained. The other resposibilities I had were scheduling the supervisor's, and employees. I relieved the Shipping Inventory supervisor when he was out or on vacation. I tracked the productivity and efficiency of my supervisor's and employee's. I resolved any issues/complaints that my supervisor's/employee's may have had without it reaching the grievance process. I worked with the Logistic Supervisor to ensure on time deliveries/departures. I assisted the logistic supervisor in coordinating over loads and getting drivers from the "extra board" to deliver the product. I checked "Kronos" daily for any discrepencies. I resolved all complaints from sister bakeries and customers concerning the delivery of our products. There are many responsibilites I took on during my time as Assistant Shipping Manager. Many of these were not in my job description. This was a challenging experience.

• Created and implemented comprehensive spreadsheets/charts to improve production efficiencies. Spreadsheets include code sheets, batch efficiency, cripples chart, databases, gross units report, days on hand and a computer inventory book that aided the production manager in manpower planning, dough counts, run times, adjustments, promotions, and the directing of the supervisor’s as to what/when/how much to produce.
