I am also co-lead of the MOOC English as a Medium of Instruction for Academics on the Futurelearn platform, and design and lead courses for educators, educational managers and administrators in developing and facilitating best practice in English-medium higher education settings.During my time at Southampton, my teaching work has also included lecturing on the following modules: Introduction to Applied Linguistics, Language Variation and Change, Global Englishes, English in its Global Contexts, English as a World Language and Approaches to Communicative Language Teaching.I have convened modules and given papers in various areas, including Global Englishes, transcultural communication, academic literacies, internationalisation of higher education, life-long learning, student transitions, identification in communication, pre-sessional preparation and composition studies.
