As a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technician, my primary role was to inspect aviation articles for any subsurface cracks or defects, without damaging or compromising the structural integrity of the part.One of the techniques I used for this purpose was eddy current testing, which is based on the principles of Lenz and Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Eddy current testing involves inducing a magnetic field in the material being inspected, which generates electrical currents in the material. These currents, in turn, generate their own magnetic fields that interact with the original field, creating eddy currents. By measuring the changes in these eddy currents, I could identify any subsurface cracks or defects in the material.To perform eddy current testing, I used specialized equipment such as eddy current probes, which are designed to generate and measure the magnetic fields and eddy currents. As a system builder in computer repair, my role involves assembling custom-built computers for clients based on their specific needs and requirements.
