Research Assistant
Designed, built, and calibrated a device to measure dynamic fracture toughness for biological size samples using a high-speed camera and digital image correlation (DIC). Currently extending the device to study isotropic and orthotropic materials, including carbon nanocomposites (CNFs and CNTs), unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs), and bovine cortical bone (an orthotropic material).
