I am the Founder of the Heroes Services Coalition, Inc. This is a Veterans Service Organization that honors the service and sacrifices of our military veterans, regardless of location.Every year we host the Ellis County Veterans Celebration, which is a Veterans Day ceremony that is always held the 2nd Saturday of November at the Waxahachie Civic Center in Waxahachie, Texas.

The Marine Corps League is a 501 (c)(4) tax exempt corporation. I founded this detachment (subordinate unit) in Ellis County, Texas since the Marine Corps League did not have an organization in this area. I wanted to fill this gap to provide an additional Veterans Service Organization (VSO) for our Marines in this area.

At this command, I was getting medical care for my military combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI). I retired from the Marine Corps at this command.

I worked in the Human Resources (HR) field counseling individual enlisted Marines on their career, involving enhancing their future competitiveness for retention and promotion. Also, i had a vast opportunity to enhance my public speaking skills while providing career briefs to thousands of Marines per year, on behalf of Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), regarding retention, promotion and assignment concerns.

Deployed to both Iraq (OIF) and Afghanistan (OEF) with 2nd Battalion 7th Marines as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant. in both combat zones I was involved in direct combat operations. This required a vast knowledge of leadership, mentorship, program management, operations planning and execution, logistical planning and operations, accountability and communications.

Served (4) cycles as a Green belt Drill Instructor (3rd and 4th Hat), (4) cycles as a Senior Drill Instructor and (2) cycles as a Series Chief Drill Instructor. All three years and one month and (10) cycles were served in Hotel company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.
