I started serving a three year term on the CA Mental Health Planning Council January 2016. I was elected to serve as Chair of the Healthcare Integration Committee.

Chief Executive Officer 2006 – 2012 Deputy CEO 2005 – 2006CEO, Shiawassee County Community Health 2001 – 2005 Director of Managed Care Services 1998 – 2001-Transformed a $20M provider organization into a $70M managed care organization that served people with physical disabilities, substance use disorders, and mental illness.-Provided leadership to an in-house clinical provider organization serving 12,000 patients.-Revamped and developed new Board of Director By-Laws which Increased board member competencies and committee oversight functions.-Led the organization through the selection and installation of an electronic medical record system and developed custom managed care software that ensured quality oversight.-Recruited and developed a high-performance medical staff which led to decreased hospitalizations and improved treatment outcomes, as well as recognition by the Michigan Department of Community Health as a top performer.-Collaborated with local, state, and federal elected officials to develop legislation that protected and improved the quality of services for persons with disabilities.-Created a physical and behavioral health integration model of care highly regarded by a national publicly-traded health plan to drive improved healthcare, ensure patient satisfaction, and decrease costs.-Increased funds to treat an additional 500 persons without healthcare coverage by leading five separate organizations to create a regional non-profit trade association that built an indigent clinic, information technology organization, specialty pharmacy, and a fund raising organization in less than two years.-Oversaw two major construction projects and several major renovations, including financing, building design oversight, and occupancy.

-Managed clinical and business operations for rehabilitation services in 40 diverse nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.-Substantially increased customer and staff retention.-Generated a 25% increase in profit and amount of service delivery.-Transitioned from a per-unit-of-service billing system to a newly-created Prospective Payment System through staff reorganization and modification of the model of care.-Increased new contract sales by 10% per year.

-Directed clinical and business operations for a multi-state region for services through contractual arrangements with healthcare organizations in ten states.-Developed and implemented a psychiatric home health product line in 13 months.-Increased census from 50 to 2,200 and number of sites from one to 26 in a multi-state region.-Achieved 100% customer retention.
