    The main part of my role is the development and roll-out of the Nurse Careers Service, across all of University College London Hospitals. Specifically designed for registered nurses of all bands working within the trust. We offer a confidential and supportive space for nurses to focus on and talk through their strengths and what’s important in their own career and working life. We give one to one support tailored to each nurses individual circumstances and need. This could involve guidance in building a meaningful personal development plan, signposting and exploration of other career options and pathways that will contribute to a more fulfilling and long lasting nursing career. This careers service is built on the success of the internal transfer scheme, our flagship service set-up in 2015 helping nursing staff develop their skills and support retention of our nurses within the trust. I facilitate and support nurses to transfer to other roles within the trust, and i also lead in nurse and midwife health and well-being for the trust

    I joined HCL Permanent as Team Leader for the EU Recruitment Projects Team. My main task was the day to day management of a team of 17 recruitment resourcers, and three account managers. Our aims and objectives were focussed on large scale recruitment campaigns for various NHS Trusts, of qualified nurses, mainly from southern and eastern Europe. My role included the remote management of two satellite of teams in Leeds and Pisa in Italy. I also set up and managed a dedicated compliance and support team of four with the responsibility to administer the offered nurses pre-employment checks in line with NHS Employers standards. This led to the development of our employer after-care offering which included meeting new starters at the airport and local orientation and settlement support.
