Robert Easterling is a recognized authority in the field of information technology, manufacturing engineering and quality engineering. Mr. Easterling is a retired executive of Cummins, Inc., formally Cummins Engine Company, Inc. where he initially worked as a manufacturing engineer, and served as the Quality Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manger at the company’s largest engine manufacturing facility. During the last half of his 31 plus years at Cummins, he directed the company’s corporate information technology organization that developed and implemented manufacturing systems worldwide. Mr. Easterling was also an advisor to Cummins senor management and responsible for strategic planning of Cummins manufacturing information technology as it related to acquisitions, organizational restructuring and global technology deployment. Since retiring from Cummins, Inc. in 2001, Robert and his wife have continued to invest in real estate focusing on Gulf front property, and have become recognized for innovative renovations and interior designs that create value and liquidity. He led the upgrade, expansion and renovation of Ocean Villa Resort's pool area, lobby, lounge and more to notably reposition Ocean Villa Resort in the market place. Robert has been active in professional and civic organizations as a leader, technical speaker and advocate. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, American Society of Quality Control, Columbus Indiana Transit Authority, Purdue University Industrial Advisory Board, Indiana School for the Blind School Board, and the Indiana School for the Blind Alumni Scholarship Fund are among the organizations he has actively served.Mr. Easterling and his wife Lynn live in Columbus, Indiana and have two sons and five grandchildren. Although, they are retired and spend most of their time managing real estate and other investment, they are still deeply interested in the challenges of educating the blind and visually impaired.
