Was a Field Service engineer who performs service in a four state service area. I also performed repairs in the field and in-house on Nuclear Medicine Systems and Image Processing Computers manufactured by Philips, GE, Technicare, Trionix, Toshiba, Hitachi, SMV/Sopha, Siemens, Digirad, ADAC, and Picker as well as provide repair service and support on Thyroid Uptake Systems and Well counters made by all manufacturers--past and present. Experienced in UNIX, FORTH, Apple OS, and Windows operating environments.

Seville, Ohio

Performed firefighting and EMS duties for a volunteer/paid on call department. Also performed maintenance on two-way FM radio systems and pagers as well as some vehicle maintenance. Currently a member of the Firefighter's Aux. association. I just could not commit any more time to the department due to the time constraints imposed by my "real" job.

Serviced all Nuclear Medicine and CT scanners on two hospital campuses. Also worked in Labor and Delivery, Respiratory Therapy, Cytology, and ICU units servicing general patient care/lab equipment. Attended Toshiba factory training school for the service of Toshiba Express and Express/GX CT units.

Twinsburg, Oh

Employed as a Senior Field Service Engineer, servicing Nuclear Medicine systems. Also performed in-house component-level repair of electronic and mechanical assemblies for use in the field.

Solon/Twinsburg Oh

Employed at Technicare Corporation as Technician in CT final test. Also worked briefly on the DR-960 project in New Ventures Engineering before transitioning to a processor technician position in MRI New Ventures. Took a lateral transfer to Critikon Corporation as a Field Service Engineer. Later transferred back to Technicare as a Nuclear Field Service Engineer until GE purchased Technicare in April of 1986. Worked for GE Medical Systems out of Akron, OH doing Nuclear and X-Ray service.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

Serviced Anesthesia monitors, vital sign monitors, infusion pumps, oxygen monitors, and automatic non-invasive blood pressure monitors in a four-state area. Sold maintenance agreements on above equipment. Serviced the entire installed base in Ohio, Western PA, Michigan, and Western NY. (Critikon was owned by Johnson and Johnson as was Technicare).

Spent two quarters of Freshman year taking general college and Electrical Engineering courses. Decided that an EE degree wasn't for me..
