Oversee 55 production employees and 6 Group Leads in the cleaning room and machine shop small value stream. Prepare and conduct bi-weekly safety startup meetings. Work with upper management and Lean facilitators to assist with the implementation of lean concepts throughout the value stream. In the machine shop responsibilities include all aspects of employees and production of 9 CNC machine cells consisting of 3 machines each, 2 manual machine centers, and 3 product assembly areas. Develop weekly work schedule, assess hiring/manpower needs, conduct interviews. Prepare and implement employee coaching as needed. Write and present employee performance reviews quarterly and annually. Conduct monthly behavior based safety audits.Cleaning room responsibilities consist of maintaining safety and production metrics, schedule work flow from foundry across two shot blast centers, thirteen grinding centers, an annealing furnace, and schedule direct shipping from the dock in the cleaning room to over 20 commercial casting customers.Maintain department budgets, work directly with tooling vendors for testing/purchasing new tooling and equipment.Report to plant manager.

Responsible for day to day tasks of over 30 production employees and 2 lead men in 3 departments on night shift. Over see nightshift employees of machine shop, cleaning room, and foundry mold shakeout operations. Schedule employees and work as needed, assess hiring needs, conduct interviews, report to machine shop manager.

Prepare inspection instruments, tooling, materials, and setup sheets for CNC operators. Troubleshoot CNC programming and material defects. Develop setup instructions and documentation for new parts. Assume leadership responsibilities in the event of supervisor absence.

Setup/operate variety of CNC lathes and machine centers, trouble shoot and edit G code and Mazatrol programming.

Setup/operate Multiple Mazak CNC lathes.

Setup/operate various manual and CNC machinery.
