Counsel IV. Longest-serving labor counsel in the history of Boston. Trained & mentored generations of attorneys in numerous City departments: Boston Public Schools, Boston Fire Department, Boston Police Department, Office of Labor Relations. Represent the City of Boston in all aspects of employment law and labor relations including successor contract negotiations, interim bargaining, and litigation. Lead negotiator on several contracts through numerous rounds of contract negotiations. In 2012, settled six (6) contracts in a span of just over two months. Represent the City in court and administrative forums. Won over sixty (60) arbitrations for the City. Won over twenty-seven (27) cases at the Department of Labor Relations. Longest winning streak = fourteen (14) consecutive cases (2016 to 2017). Closing in on 300 cases litigated to final decision.

Counsel II. Represented the City of Boston in litigation before the United States District Court, the Massachusetts Superior Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, as well as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, in a wide variety of civil cases, including redevelopment / land use, wrongful termination, labor relations, civil rights and medical malpractice. Won eight consecutive jury trials.

Represented numerous Boston-area health care facilities in civil litigation, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women's Hospital; St. Luke's Hospital of New Bedford. Trial counsel for hospital nurses, attending physicians and resident physicians. Won five consecutive jury trials.

I clerked for Justice William Lavery, who subsequently became the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Appellate Court.
