I am particularly proud of the following achievements: Argued on behalf of plaintiff and counsel of record in U.S. Shoe v. United States, where the U.S. Supreme Court held the Harbor Maintenance Tax unconstitutional; represented the plaintiff in the landmark case of Chrysler Corp. v. United States, which held that assists could be allocated on a reasonable basis over numerous customs entries; managed federal legislation which resulted in the duty free treatment of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin; obtained legislation holding duty free treatment of mango fruit; successfully represented importers in the first trade relief case under Section 401, represented both manufacturers and importers in numerous antidumping and countervailing duty cases as well as many Customs civil and criminal enforcement actions; and represented businesses in hundreds of tariff classification and valuation matters.
