Provide leadership and supervision in the start-up, shutdown, operation, and maintenance of gas fired boilers as well as steam turbine generators and associated balance of plant equipment. Ensure the safe, environmentally compliant and profitable operation of the facility. Major responsibilities: Coordinate operation of the generating units with ER&T. Coordinate operation, maintenance and outages of the generating equipment with other departments to maintain unit availability. Communicate with outside agencies, internal and external customers. Provide leadership in conduct of operation initiatives. Administer the company/union agreement. Establish high standards for associates; provide leadership and motivation by training, appraisals, coaching, counseling, rewarding and disciplining associates. Promote and facilitate internal and external departmental quality behaviors and PSEG OEM model.

Pre commissioning training for DDG Class Destroyer's. Class room instruction, power plant training in operation, casualty control and emergency operations. Propulsion and electrical generation, engine removal and change outs.

Class room instruction, OJE/OJT instruction and in plant operations. Course curriculum development, PPT, written student and instructor guides. Propulsion and Electrical console operation within an Land Base Engineering Site L.B.E.S at the Naval yard in Philadelphia. Certified pre-commissioning crews in the operation of ship board engineering aboard a DDG-51 Arleigh Burke Aegis Class Destroyer.
