Freelance Musician And Production
CurrentStarted a lifelong love for music recording and production when I purchased a Tascam PortaStudio 144 to begin recording demo tapes of my original compositions. When Ocean Sound studios moved from North Vancouver to their new location I was given an opportunity to trade time worked in the construction for studio hours. Through the process of recording six songs at the facility with various studio musicians, I was also given an introduction to the analog recording process. After a few years hiatus I returned to composing and recording in the late 90’s, but this time dabbling with loop based material on the computer. As computing power and the available digital audio workstations improved I started to relearn the art of audio recording but this time in a digital domain. And now that I’ve retired from my coding career, I have built myself a fairly complete studio. I enjoy spending time composing, arranging and recording. As well as my own material I’ve worked on a few collaborative projects.
