This involved evaluation and security of source code, intellectual property and processes, termination of all personnel, closing the office and moving all assets to NC.• Nortel, Richardson, TXAs a training technology consultant, managed the $1.5M "Enhanced Installation & Maintenance" CBT project. Managed project managers and personnel, developed the training plan, selected the computer program for delivery, researched content and developed a certification process using passport disk technology. Directed staff of 10 programmers at 2 locations using C++, Authorware and Superscape's VR software.

Program included quality seminar, interactive training on all core products on 5 laser discs and computer-based simulation providing immediate performance feedback. Designed for multiple languages, program was used by Frito-Lay and PepsiCo Foods International to train quality managers throughout the world. Savings due to this program were in excess of $20M the first year. • Developed a computer-based statistical-process-control (SPC) packaging program for all 40 Frito-Lay plants (One of 2 certified Master SPC Instructors at Frito-Lay). Program utilized HP input stations linked to packaging machines and central computer system to collect and analyze data. Rolled out this system to all 40 Frito-Lay plants. Program saved over $40M a year.• Directed Packaging Training effort overseeing certification and training of Packaging Instructors and Managers in the various plants. • Designed self-study training program for Sales that eliminated two weeks of formal training on the computer-based ordering system by incorporating the training into the new hand-held unit. All training costs (travel, instructors, meeting room rentals, etc.) were eliminated and time for individual mastery was reduced to 8 hours or less. The hand-held unit would grade the exercises and when mastery was achieved would print out a certification of completion.• Designed Frito-Lay’s technical dictionary to facilitate communications between Sales, Manufacturing and Logistics.• Developed 5-day logistics management training program for all 300 logistics managers.• Developed computer-based Professional Truck Driving program on laser discs for all OTR drivers in Logistics Department.
