Starting my career journey, I was drawn into engineering, intrigued by the workings of machines. This curiosity led me to Stephenson, initially at our Bradford office, then moving to our manufacturing site after two years, where I got hands-on with purchasing and supply chain. My time has taught me the value of strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike. It's these connections that build a solid business foundation. At the manufacturing site, I fell for the process of making soap, which kick-started my deep dive into the operational side of things.By 2014, I stepped up as Operations Director, where Lean Six Sigma opened my eyes to new ways of improving our work. The following years focused us solely on personal care, moving away from other interests like paper recycling and textiles. This shift meant big changes, pushing our manufacturing and team development further.From 2019, it’s been all about playing to our strengths: solid formats, solving problems, and adding value. Leading the commercial side in 2022 and becoming MD in 2023, I've applied everything I've learned at Stephenson to help us grow.On the personal side, I'm married to Sam, and we have two grown-up kids. We have a lively Rottweiler who's great company on long walks by the river. I'm a fan of good food, wine, sports, and being outdoors. Traveling and meeting new people is something I always look forward to, hearing their stories.
