As a key member of the Executive Management Team reporting to the CEO, assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the Company. Primarily responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementing, managing and controlling of all financial-related activities of the Company, which include accounting, finance, payroll, forcasting, strategic planning, budgeting, property management, deal analysis & negotiations, mergers & acquistions, cost segregation studies, business valuations, tax planning, partnership compliance and private & institutional financing.

Oversees the completion of accounting functions involving the application of accounting standards, principles and practices. Responsibilities include reviewing monthly financial transactions to ensure that adequate accounting data is recorded in the proper accounts to facilitate preparation of internal financial statements; preparing monthly internal financial statements and detailed schedules of balance sheet accounts; analyzing variances on actual versus budget amounts; tracking expenses funded by various grants; preparing schedules for grants drawdown; reviewing various schedules of account analysis prepared by staff, and performing other special assignments. Duties also include: assisting in the preparation of five years strategic and short term business plan, current fiscal year expenses projection, financial evaluation on potential contractor’s proposal, annual budget preparation, and year-end reconciliation of cash in bank and uncommitted carry forward funds; preparing schedules and supporting documents for various audits and regulatory reporting compliance (i.e. financial audit, OMB Circular A-133 audit, NTD audit and DBE reporting etc.).

Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting which include: developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices & procedures to ensure accurate & timely financial statements; supervision of the staff accountants and managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely & accurate manner. Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, payroll processing & reporting, year-end audit preparation and support of budget & forecast activities.

Perform traditional CPA services of compilation, review, audit, and tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Assist with various types of accounting software installations and support for clients. Special projects related to accounting and taxation.

Directs engagement field work, assigns detalied work to Staff and review their working papers. Review tax returns prepared by Staff, researches tax questions and studies tax laws for current year changes and potential tax savings. Special projects related to accounting and taxation.

Conduct examination of banks for the purpose of determining compliance with banking laws and regulations of the Philippines.
