General counsel and owner of Atlas Healthcare Partners, LLC, a company which partners with nonprofit health systems and physicians to develop, own and manage ambulatory surgery centers. Also, of counsel to and formerly senior partner in the health care practice group of the law firm of Kutak Rock LLP. Legal practice has focused on health care transactions, particularly those involving hospitals and physician practices. Mr. Cohen has served as lead transaction counsel in multiple hospital-physician joint ventures, practice integrations, co-management arrangements, clinically integrated networks and ACOs. He also has represented parties in transactions involving the acquisition and/or merger of hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers and many other types of health care providers as well as joint ventures and affiliations between hospital systems.
