Selected to lead the Safety, Security, and Health functions for the construction and operation of Toyota’s $1.2 Billion dollar Tundra assembly plant in San Antonio, Texas. The manufacturing plant is the largest, innovative designed automobile manufacturing facility in the world, situated on 2700 acres, encompassing over 4 million square feet of buildings, 21 On-site Supplier Companies, and over 5,000 new Team Members.•Direct responsibility for over 28,000 contractors’ safety compliance during condensed building and process equipment installation. Exceeded over 3 Million Hours with no Lost Work Days. Developed Workers Compensation strategy to manage costs to more than 62% below the National Average.•Managing over $32MM annually of capital and expense budgets.•Developed all Operating safety policies, procedures, and management systems.•Implemented Safety Strategy for entire site.•Direct and Indirect Reports of 165 FT Safety and IH Staff; Occupational Health Professionals including Physicians, PA’s, RN’s, PT’s, PTA’s, LVN’s, MA’s, Work Conditioning, Workers Compensation, and Early Symptom Investigation; and contract Security, Emergency Response and Firefighters. Conducted entire selection process for all Direct Report roles.•Installation of Incident/Injury reporting, data management, training, and posting of leading/lagging safety indicators. •Exceeded over 4 Million Hours with no Lost Work Days in 3.5 years for full time Production Team Members.•Facilitated the design, installation, and operational launch of facility-wide access control and security monitoring system. •Personally conducted risk assessments and equipment buy-off in Japan prior to installation.•Served on Toyota North American Regional EHS Leadership Team.•Championed Ergonomic Burden Analysis for all process installations.
