As a Regional Director, Robert Cox is responsible for leading Reinvestment Fund’s housing originations. Mr. Cox has supported the creation or preservation of thousands of residential units, lending to developments across the affordable housing spectrum, including 4% and 9% LIHTC projects, homeownership developments, and both for-sale and rental NOAH development. Mr. Cox also has extensive experience financing mixed-use projects under Reinvestment Fund’s NMTC program, including hotels, community facilities, and grocer-anchored retail. Mr. Cox has been with the Reinvestment Fund since 2002. He previously worked as an attorney in private practice. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Penn.His work at Reinvestment Fund supports a range of developer needs, including urban land acquisition; interest only financing to acquire and stabilize existing multifamily and commercial projects; bridge lending against Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and other subsidy; leverage loans to New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) developments; construction loans to for-sale developments; scattered site acquisition and rehab financing; as well as permanent lending to multi-family and mixed-use projects.
