This included identifying failures and assisting in root cause analysis and concerns found within the test fleet. Daily I liaised with field test and engineering colleagues in global locations. My responsibilities in addition to this role included:- Field Test lead engineer for tractors (96-165kW).- Field Test department budget, activity and workload planning.- Create standard and non-standard test procedures (defining a pass/fail criteria) and writing test reports, detailing results and recommendations. - Participate in design reviews with engineering, marketing brands and product platform, providing my experience to represent customer requirements. This includes identifying issues within the concept phase of a program so that changes can be made before physical builds begin.- Conduct lessons learnt and quality reviews regarding current product and ensure that quality and planning issues are not carried over onto new product.- Ensure the offsite field test facility is HSE and fire safety compliant through maintenance of equipment and site procedures. This includes writing risk assessments, COSHH and SOPs.- Conduct in field training of new products for tractor Marketing and Quality departments.- Assist quality and technical aftersales departments with customer product issues. - Participate in HARA assessment meetings regarding product issues. -

Working with design engineers to implement new designs to improve functionality and reliability of vehicles.- Compile reports on control, driveability, ergonomic and aesthetic feedback from customers.- Create vehicle test plans to meet project targets.- Conduct in field tests including; durability, reliability, functionality, benchmarking and performance.- Write test reports detailing results and recommendations.- Write Product Integrity Reports (PIR’s) on issues found and oversee a 7 step process to solve the issue, implementing and validating a fix to close the report.- Specify builds for vehicles to maximise the effectiveness of the field test activity.- Source new field testing locations and contacts within the UK to improve testing coverage.- Validation of operators manual to ensure they are free of inaccuracies and grammatical errors. - Software validation: ensuring that software is free of serious and minor malfunction and ensuring that software behaviour is what is required and expected by the customer.- Support Basildon factory with manufacturing prototype and production tractors, carrying out PDIs on prototype and production vehicles and supporting manufacturing quality audits.- Liaise with suppliers to conduct testing, development and tuning of components and subsystems. -
