Perform and manage occupational and environmental health-related activities to include anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling exposure to chemical, biological, and radiological hazards in garrison and deployed settings. Conduct health risk assessments by monitoring and sampling conditions to identify and quantify chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards. Provide expert health risk communication to support command and to prevent short-and long-term health effects to all personnel residing and/or working on installation. Review plans, work orders, contracts, and specifications for compliance with environmental health and occupational health directives. Survey facilities, equipment, materials, and operations for current or potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health standards and licensing or permit requirements.-Deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, led Environmental Health program, certified $1.7M in drinking water ensuring safety for 3.2k population at risk/44k combat flying hours.-Drove base’s first Hazardous Communication program providing training for 19 shops. Increased rates from 0 to 63% in less than 6 months.-Evaluated 9 shops, identified and controlled 165 hazards, guarded 328 personnel, and protected $1.7B in assets.-Guided 13 noise investigations, identified 37 hazardous equipment items, and ensured proper hearing protection devices averting permanent hearing loss for 133 members. -Responded to chlorine/hydrazine spills, led 3 teams/875 lbs, shielded 2.5k population and %5.2B in assets.-Identified disjointed base confined space protocols, collaborated with 6 organizations, streamlined confined space tactics, techniques, and procedures including 328 spaces.-As part of Baseline Alabama Air National Guard F-16 Mission, evaluated 10 shops and 123 hazards, protected 153 maintenance members, critical to 3.5 sorties/3.7k targets hit.
