    I worked on a platform that automates the orchestration of cloud-based virtual network functions. The platform featured a Java-based micro-services architecture and was deployed as several Kubernetes pods.My role included the design and development of orchestration workflows that interacted with databases, controllers, and the cloud infrastructure to deliver network services, such as hybrid VPNs, on demand. I also contributed to the design of the platform and its APIs.Prior to this, I designed and implemented central system functions for a service delivery system based on Progress/Fuse SOA middleware. This system, deployed in geo-redundant clusters, is a portal through which internet applications gain access to messaging and location-based functions in AT&T's network. I created software and procedures for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of the system's MySQL Cluster databases.

I created a plug-in to aggregate per-call measurement data from carrier networks and to derive subscriber location information from radio signal metrics.I worked on the Service Broker component in Alcatel-Lucent's 3GPP IMS architecture. Specifically, I led a team that developed a Java-based graphical drag-and-drop service composition tool andexecution framework that could realize blends of two or more SIP, MAP, and/or CAP functions, suchas prepaid calling plus enhanced dialing services. I also traveled with sales teams to meet with customers and to facilitate trials.
