 PTSC (7 months): for the Vietnamese SWPOC project (Note: SWPOC = South-West Pipeline Operating Company) Identified substantial enhancements to the proposed FEED documents and significant cost savings (US $50 Mill.), for the upcoming EPC scope of work. This project included approx. 430Km of offshore and onshore / inshore pipelines. (Note: PTSC were the PetroVietnam subsidiary contracting the work). PETROGENIC: (4 months) – Project Management Consultant to Hong Kong Government for a proposed offshore Wind Farm in 25-40 ft. water depth. Scope included: Drilled Foundation Design; Project Capex Estimates; Project Development Strategy; Implementation Schedule. EWOGGS Nigeria (5 months): Consultant for execution of the 2 x 550-kilometer pipelines as part of Nigeria’s East-West Offshore Gas Gathering System. Also evaluation of restarting previously shut-in offshore production facilities.

Achievements:* This project was deferred by PETRONAS due to the 2014 oil price collapse. I lead alternate development concepts that reduced Project Capex from $135 Mill to $90 Mill to ultimately achieve adequate return for PETRONAS & partners at $55/bbl. This was the only one of six other proposed marginal field developments that went ahead.* The development concept selected introduced the 1st suction pile platform to be used offshore Malaysia.

Shekou / China

Manage all aspects for the LF7-2 offshore oilfield development in the South China Sea. Project Value USD $1.85 Billion.Achievements:* Built the Project Management Team from a staff of only 4 to 250 professionals to execute the project.* Successfully completed the project achieving 6.5 million man-hours both injury and incident free

Facilities & Project Manager for multiple offshore oilfield developments - Peninsular Malaysia.Achievements: * A PETRONAS owned export pipeline used by Newfield had to be abandoned when it became fully plugged by a high pour-point crude. I was seconded into the Petronas emergency response team that developed a unique pipe in pipe heating system that resolved the problem. This concept was my idea and to my knowledge had never been previously used in the industry.* Promoted and transferred to China to head-up Newfield’s largest ever offshore project (USD$1.85 Bill) in the South China Sea – as described above.

Managed multiple offshore Marine Spreads, including: Derrick & Pipe-lay Barges; Dredging & Shallow Water lay spreads; Hook-up & Commissioning spreads.Achievements:* Rapid promotion at McDermott, then the wold’s largest offshore installation contractor. Initially as Offshore Field Engineer, promoted to Project Engineer, then Operations Engineer, then Senior Operations Engineer.* Design and build a project specific Shallow Water Lay-Barge (SWLB) for simultaneously laying 4 pipelines: 1x36” dia. / 1x18” dia./ 2x8”dia. Successfully completed the Bombay Harbor shore approach & crossing for ONGC’s incoming export pipelines from Bombay High.
