About Robert Debellis

Even though my past studies and expertise have been in the fields of Science, Chemistry and Computers, I feel that my cumulative experience in these disciplines have given me unique perspective that is well suited for study in the field of Forensic Psychology.I have always been inspired by the human mind. Watching shows like “The New Detectives” and “Most Evil”, I felt inspired to learn more about Neuroscience. I enrolled in a course at the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES.org) on the Neurobiology of Mental Illness where I was taught by leading scientists and clinicians at the NIH about methodologies that are having the greatest impact on neuroscience research. After that experience it didn’t take long to realize that the time has come to expand my horizon. I plan on using my interests in Criminal Psychology and Programming Ability to develop a computer program to aid in Forensic Analysis. This program will be similar in concept to the Twenty Questions game which uses deductive reasoning to arrive at a solution. I fancy myself as a free thinker, expressive analytic, someone who is intuitive. I believe that I can use the insight gained through my studies, introspection and practical problem solving to create new tools to better understand the human mind. Professionally, I have worked as a Chemist, Microbiologist, Veterinary Assistant, Computer Analyst and Programmer. Although the majority of my experience in the Sciences, I have successfully integrates both disciplines and have used this knowledge to become a solution provider. I believe that I can translate this knowledge and expertise into a successful Psychology and Law career. My current affiliations include: membership in the National Society of Scholastic Scholars, and the American Psychology-Law Society (Division 41 of APA).Specialties: Access and Visual Basic Programming, Oracle DBA
