I am currently a third-year Honors Biomedical Engineering student who is also pursuing a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with a focus on technology, Smeal College of Business Certificate, and New Product Innovation Certificate at The Pennsylvania State University. Between school and work experiences, I am always looking to expand my current skill set and continue my journey towards becoming a lifelong learner. Therefore, I am open to internship opportunities relating engineering and biotechnology-related fields.During my first year at Penn State, I won a class design competition sponsored by Wabtec Corporation in which my team and I designed and prototyped an alternative clean energy ore extraction technique. Through this experience, I was able to learn about additive manufacturing, developed project management skills, and worked within a team successfully!During my second year at Penn State, I participated in three case competitions focusing on both business and engineering. These competitions allowed me to work in a cross functional team, use my CAD and rapid prototyping skills, and allowed me to come up with creative solutions to real world problems. During this time, I also took two entrepreneurship classes that allowed me to understand the iterative design process, how to turn a problem into a solution, and how to present my findings to a group of people. Now my third year is all about industry experience.
