Data Science professional with a focus in machine learning, process automation, optimization, and improvement. Graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2018 as a Master of Science in Business Analytics. Currently I am a Lead Data & Analytics Engineer at The Bank of New York Mellon in the Third Party Governance department. I work primarily with ground-up development of nascent data structures, analytic procedures, actionable reporting, and process improvement & automation, focusing on efficient and scalable coding practices to provide the business with a reliable foundation with which to build a successful and competitive data-driven strategy.Before my work at The Bank of New York Mellon, I had a brief stint at SPAWAR, a branch of the Department of Defense. While there, I designed a suite of functions aimed to predict the severity and frequency of FA-18 Hornet aircraft crashes & mishaps for the US Navy. The project was presented to the Pentagon and received well, although my graduate studies prevented me from attending.In the interim between these two experiences I created a system for time-series clustering of long term data - an issue which falls rapidly victim to the "Curse of Dimensionality" of high-density information - for industrial use. I received permission from the company to retain my code, and the resulting R package "tspiece" is available on my linked GitHub page [GitHub page currently under maintenance, will be active shortly].
