Doherty disposal services is a residential waste collection company I aquired in January of my senior year of high school. I established the name at the time of the purchase. I purchased this company from a local individual in my town. Given the market in my town I was able to expand growth in the company in a wide variety of areas. I was able to double the client base in under a year and have also managed all the clientele since the purchase. I manage over 40 clients for this company. I do everything from the financial bookkeeping all the way to hands on management of employees. Staying organized as well as having my companies initiatives set has been the biggest success factor since purchasing the company. Upon analyzing the finances and operations I found a more efficient way to conduct the routing for pick ups. This has kept my cost down and improved efficiency within the company.

Doherty Brothers Lawn Care LLC is a residential and commercial landscaping company I started in the lakes region of New Hampshire. We service Premier Lakes region properties primarily located in Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro New Hampshire. I founded the company in seventh grade and have since developed a client base of over 55 people along with two employees. During growth stages and financial analysis I found that bringing in a partner had more benefits than cons so I did just that. I was able to structure a deal using a business valuation to figure out what percentage would be the most adequate to sell which is just what I did. As the owner I’ve managed all of the clientele and delegated work to the employees and others that work for me. I managed all of the finances for the company. I have conducted all of the financial statements as well as implemented growth strategies for the company.
