At the beginning of 2017 I was invited to take part in a 3 month secondment within one of Capita’s internal recruitment functions, CIR. During the secondment 50% of my time was utilised recruiting individuals in to the business to fill a variety of roles up to the £60K salary level. Some of these included professionals for Capita’s PIP, PCSE and EMS contracts to name a few. The remaining 50% of my time was spent supporting, maintaining and creating the team’s reporting documents to ensure that the teams and management had an adequate amount of quantified data to allow for analysis. This was crucial for two main reasons; many of CIR’s clients/contracts required complete transparency over the recruitment process(es); and secondly that it gave the management a more detailed picture of the current landscape at any given moment – allowing for better decision making and justification. A major part of my role was creating spreadsheets to produce Recruitment Management Infomation (MI).
