Glng Upstream, Cooper Basin & Nsw Gas & Liquids Projects - Brisbane, Qld

► Core deliverables were quite similar to those above, with the main difference being that my team and I did not manage project assurance for the PNG assets and projects, rather, we delivered operations readiness, technical, project assurance and completions management requirements for the Scotia, Roma East, Fairview Development and Arcadia projects as part of the GLNG Upstream development, and for gas and hydrocarbon liquids development for Cooper Basin and NSW►Managed a team of 12 direct reports (senior/operations readiness and assurance engineers, document controllers, senior quality engineer, senior/field quality supervisors, and completions management specialists), motivating for performance, leveraging individual and collective strengths, and encouraging innovative and continuous improvement mindsets► Implemented requirements of the QMS for GLNG Upstream projects, and advised and guided multi-discipline engineers in correct application of the QMS and project quality plans to facilitate implementation of continuous improvement initiatives►Reviewed and/or approved contractor and vendor procedures and documents, clearly communicating QA/QC contractual requirements, and surveillance monitoring to verify contractual compliance (and same for most roles above and below)► Planned and implemented assurance strategies, ensured clear understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs, established and monitored quality measures, and managed change in a dynamic environment (same for above role)► Achieved project and assurance audit compliance for onshore developments in the Santos Management System (SMS).

Glng Upstream Operations - Brisbane, Qld

GLNG incorporates the development of coal seam gas (CSG) resources in QLD’s Surat and Bowen Basins, a 420km gas transmission pipeline, and a 2-Train liquefaction and storage facility on Curtis Island. The upstream component of GLNG includes thousands of CSG wells linked by a vast network of gas and water gathering pipelines to field processing and compressing facilities, and complex water treatment plants. As Senior Assurance Engineer for GLNG Upstream projects, my core role deliverables included:► Developed and implemented project management systems, presided over scope and issue management, ensured best-practice project management methodologies were being used, and ensured good project governance for the portfolio► Delivered Technical Assurance for AU$80M to AU$600M CAPEX projects/developments using the Total Project Technical Review (PTR) assurance process, and defining project management, QA, risk management and governance systems► Santos contract representative for the Independent Project Analysis (IPA) contract (project benchmarking and pacesetting)► Delivered Project Assurance for large onshore CAPEX projects/developments, including GLNG Upstream Phase One► Led or supported Project Gate reviews using the Santos Quality Asset Development (SQAD) process► NB: In addition to leading the RFSU (Ready for Start Up) review for Roma Hub Compressor Station 2, and I also led project assurance (close-out) reviews for the Gladstone Transmission Pipeline and the LNG Plant on Curtis Island (i.e. Midstream).

► Led a team of 6 direct reports (senior project engineers and project engineers) and ~30 indirect reports (multi-discipline engineers and project managers) to manage and deliver a portfolio of ~40 CAPEX projects worth ~$60M/annum (and ranging in value from $100K to $5M) safely, on-time, within budget, and to all required engineering Standards► All aspects of project engineering including scoping, tendering, determining milestones and identifying dependencies, resourcing, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, internal and external interface management, contract management and administration, overseeing MoC (Management of Change) processes, and detailed progress reporting► Managed contractors used by GLNG Upstream Operations for projects to ensure compliance with Santos’ Environmental, Health, Safety and Hazard Management Standards i.e. EHSMS, HSHS and EHS► Developed opportunities to reduce risk, enhance production, minimize downtime, and improve operating cost throughout all phases of projects, from identification through to execution ► Definition and development of projects for capital budgeting, most specifically the Construction and Fixed Assets (C&FA), and Restoration and Abandonment (R&A) budgets► Provided capital works execution and management support and delivery to GLNG Upstream for Brownfield Projects► Led a Capacity Upgrade Project, which delivered an additional 75 TJ/day of gas capacity from existing CSG wells.

► Commenced as Senior Project Engineer and promoted to Section Lead for Project Engineering in Feb 2010, managing a 6 direct reports (senior project engineers and project engineers) and ~12 indirect reports (engineers and project managers) to manage and deliver CAPEX projects safely, on-time, within budget, and to required engineering Standards► All aspects of project engineering including scoping, tendering, determining milestones and identifying dependencies, resourcing, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, interface management, contract management, MoC, and reporting► Developed and implemented the contracting strategy and delivered, managed and reviewed contractor panel arrangements for engineering design and construction services.

Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Projects - Brisbane, Qld

Commencing as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for G3 ($2.3B 3rd Phase Development for Gove Alumina Refinery) and Utkal Alumina Refinery in India, and later promoted to Design Manager for the Az Zabirah bauxite and JSW aluminium projects in Saudi Arabia and India, core role deliverables and achievements included: ► Managed multi-discipline engineering teams for bauxite, alumina and aluminium process design projects, including Gove G3 Expansion, Utkal FEL3, Az Zabirah FEL2/FEL3, and Jindal South West FEL3 (FEED studies), including development and coordination of project execution plans, L3 detailed project schedules, cost control, S curves, and earned value analysis► Developed an engineering management system for the Utkal, Az Zabirah and JSW projects, including formalised systems for managing HAZOP’s, VER’s, and multi-discipline design, constructability, maintainability, operability and safety reviews► Designed and implemented the 3D model review process for FEL3 projects as a DFLSS Green Belt, and received a Certificate of Recognition for “excellent contribution to continuous improvement via development of efficient systems for projects”► Developed and implemented a fully integrated system for 3D modelling and engineering design deliverables for the Utkal, Az Zabirah and JSW engineering projects (with associated procedures, design criteria, standards and templates included) ► Developed and managed value improvement practices (including value engineering reviews and HAZOP’s), and applied Design for Lean Six Sigma (DFLSS) tools and concepts for continuous improvement projects► Developed systems to manage the design process for FEL 2/3 engineering projects including Technical Queries (TQ’s), 3D model reviews, and electronic data management systems (EDMS)► Completed several “Area” projects for the Gove G3 alumina refinery expansion on-time and within-budget ► Provided Independent Project Analysis (IPA) guidance for CAPEX projects.

► Facilitated stakeholder workshops and project management, problem solving and decision making training, and attained “Train the Trainer” status for Kepner Tregoe’s proprietary Project Management Process► Participated in the Sustainability Project (continuous improvement) at BlueScope Steel in Wollongong, and analyzed operational data for performance measurement and accelerated improvements.

► Managed the construction and commissioning of equipment to facilitate a 100% increase in output for Procter and Gamble USA, including direct liaison with the Section Head and Group Purchasing Manager of P&G Fabric and Home Care USA► Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), as well as lean manufacturing/business process re-engineering, statistical process and quality control, cost control, asset management, and client interfacing at a senior management level► Led the development and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques into the business for reduced manufacturing costs and team-based management, which in-turn improved overall performance of the company ► Developed and implemented Taguchi method (Design of Experiments) to ensure process “robustness” and product quality► Worked closely with the Senior Purchasing Manager to lead the introduction of a new product for Unilever USA.

► Managed CAPEX projects for process improvements, deployed product and process changes, implemented Just in Time (JIT) manufacturing systems, and conducted Computer Aided Design (CAD) and machinery installation works► Standardised the foam plant to enable fully automatic manufacturing of 16 refrigerator models on the same production line, and on the same production day, and managed the delivery of 7 product improvement projects► Introduced 4 new models of refrigerator to the foam plant, including the “Active Smart” range (electronically controlled).

► Design and optimization of factory layout, including automation (i.e. autonomous vehicles and industrial robots - ABB IRB 6400’s) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, as well as rationalisation and optimisation of raw material supplies and plant services, and project management, Gantt charting, PERT and critical path analysis activities► Assisted the design, installation and commissioning of the world-class Greenfield plastics manufacturing plant in Brendale► Programmed ABB IRB640 industrial robots and integrated with the automated materials handling and packaging system► Implemented the Mainpac CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
