A key member of the RMIT Sustainability team within Property Services; my role was responsible for working across Property Services and the wider University to plan, implement and evaluate resource efficiency projects. Key projects included: TOLL IPEC & TNT Warehouse Developments; Airport Drive & Steele Creek North Stormwater Enhancement Project; Papa Uniform Golf (PUGs) Slab Replacement; New T4, Pier G and multi-level car park structure (MLS); Taxiway Victor South & Southern Apron Extension, High Intensity Approach Lighting (HIAL) and supporting the Runway Development Program. Environmental Monitoring ProgramsProject management of several environmental monitoring and compliance programs at the Airport, including surface water, ambient air quality, land contamination, energy and ecological management. These works all involved project management of environmental specialists to deliver the compliance programs to meet the Airport Regulations and targets outlined in the Environment Strategy. Other responsibilities included preparing and submitting the Airport’s National Greenhouse Emissions Reporting Scheme (NGERS) report each year. This included obtaining and analysing energy data from a wide range of sources within the operational control of the airport, reporting in line with the legislation and organising an external reasonable assurance audit to verify the data. Responsibilities also covered ensuring management actions within the EPBC-listed Grey-Box Woodland were undertaken in-line with EPBC requirements.
