CurrentArchitected, designed and implemented distributed systems providing insight into quality of electronic prescription and other electronic health record messaging, utilizing Apache Spark and HBase. Provided Agile team support as acting Scrum Master, including facilitating retrospectives, providing insight into the Agile process, and general team support. Acted as software security advocate, including using tools to scan for vulnerabilities and interacting with corporate security staff.Designed and implemented a system utilizing HBase, IBM MDM (Initiate), and Spark to enable subsecond demographic look up of patient clinical visits in support of medical record requests. Designed and implemented systems using Apache Kafka, Kudu, and HBase for near realtime auditing of message traffic through the Surescripts network (billions of message per year and growing). Provided support tools for managing workflow and data accessibility via Python command line tools and web services.Designed and implemented web services using .Net technologies to support message routing and user administration applications. Designed and implemented web services using Java technologies to support a variety of demographic patient searches against both Initiate and IBM BigInsights HBase solutions.Designed and implemented a library and standalone application for generating realistic demographic data for testing systems that interact with PHI. The test data produced conforms to population distributions derived from United States Census data.
