Synthesized, Purified, and Characterized, various Ferrocene derivatives with different electron withdrawing groups for potential use in a Ferrocene derivative of the breast cancer drug Tamoxifen. Recreated various syntheses, from literature and made variations to better suit scope of the project. Purified compounds via column separation and characterized compounds with H-NMR spectroscopy.

-Started a project for the development of a non destructive quantitative analysis of moisture content in API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) through the use of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) and creation of a PLS Model through TQ Analyst software, confirmed by Volumetric Karl Fischer titration and TGA. -Contributed to aging studies of excipient moisture uptake overtime. Assisted in the evaluation of and creation of a report on ERH (equilibrium relative humidity), another non destructive moisture content determination method. -Exposure to GLM/GMP and Highly regulated environment-Use of Cytosuites to prep samples of cytotoxic API-General exposure to various analytic methods commonly used in pharma industry: FT-IR, GC-MS, HPLC/UPLC, Dissolution, and Ion Exchange Chromatography

-Worked under Senior Chemist in Devcon's R&D lab.-Assisted in optimization of new and existing epoxy, methacrylate, and urethane adhesive and coating systems through the creation small scale lab batches.-Assisted QC/QA with analysis of rejected and special productions.-Troubleshot and audited with daily production.-Generated and analyzed crucial data on compounds through the use of FT-IR ,TGA, DSC, DMA, Viscometers, Tenisometer, and other various physio-mechanical apparatus.
