As a designer at this high end yacht production facility I produced 3D CAD model and associated drawings for interior joinery production, exterior mouldings and customisations, engineering and systems. Work included complete interior updates, new boat projects and boat specific modifications. Custom exterior projects requiring modifications to existing mouldings and production of new designs to achieve the clients’ desires.Daily work with production staff to improve design and solve in build issues.

In CATIA I produce complete 3D model of the deck, hulls and transoms from the concept drawings. This includes mouldings, fittings and equipment. I also produce the models for CNC production of the plugs and plants. To date yachts include 475, 545, 575, 625, 885 and 825 DS & RS

Africa

I completed an independent nine month overland expedition with my wife from the UK to South Africa. I modified and prepared a Land Rover Defender 110, including designing and building an extensive storage system, to produce a comfortable and reliable home. Whilst visiting 24 countries on the West Coast and Southern Africa I enjoyed the independence of travel and the meeting people from different backgrounds.www.longroadtripsouth.com
