I served twenty six years as an airline pilot with United Airlines and Continental Airlines, for the last three years as a B-737 captain. This background includes responsibilities as a simulator instructor and check airman for second officers, ground school instructor, and conduct of initial operating experience. Special assignments include introduction of computer-based loading procedures for freighter aircraft and conduct of flight test procedures for converted freighters. Prior aviation experience includes responsibilities as a captain and chief pilot for Midcontinent Airlines (1987-1989); check airman for Sky Harbor Air Service (1990); charter pilot, flight instructor, and marketing & advertising manager for Werner Aviation (1984-1987). Previous non-aviation experience includes responsibilities as a writer and audio-visual director and producer for HDR (1975-1984). Education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication and General Engineering, UNO, 1974. Additional course work was taken in Meteorology at Creighton University, and in Accident Investigation on-line from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
