I like to solve problems, any kind of problems. If you add to that a good analytical mind and pretty good grades in math and physics back when I was kid, it was almost certain that getting a career in science would be a good fit for me. And adult-me has not been disappointed.Coming to California - after getting my Masters in Optical engineering and my PhD in Physics back in France - was the final step for me to integrate a small company that was doing in-house development of imaging systems, notably for cosmetics companies. But anything is game for us, as long as there is optical works to do.Life in an only-engineer 4-person company is quite special. You have to juggle with multiple projects all the time, whether it is a conference, a new project under development or an emergency with a system on the other side of the world. But you learn. A lot.Need a new website ? Let’s dust my HTML, CSS and little SEO skill I have to come up with something a little more modern. Need to use Arduino for our systems? I can get by with some basic C/C++ . What about using some database in our LabVIEW ? Let’s open this SQL online manual to see how I can help with that.Never stop learning. That’s the goal.
