About Robert Gibbons

In all of my endeavors I leverage my community-focused nonprofit experience and commitment to lifting marginalized voices and advancing issues of equity and inclusion. I hold a MA in Public Policy from UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs and a BA in American Studies from UC Berkeley. I began my career as an early employee of Airbnb, and after several years in the technology sector transitioned my professional focus toward community development and nonprofit organizations. I have worked as a teacher in Oakland and San Francisco, a National Park Ranger in the GGNRA, helped start one of the first Urban Outward Bound Schools in North America, and am an active policy advisor in a number of domestic sectors. I have also spent time abroad with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in East Africa and at the Muhammad Yunus Center in Bangkok.
