Member of the Port Authority Board, responsible for the overal administration of the Itajai River Port Complex, in close cooperation with the Port Superintendent, comprising several terminals, such as APM Terminal, Portonave, Braskarne, Teporti and others.

Responsible for seting up the Brazilian Operation of the Chinese Carrier, hiring senior staff, opening the company, responsible for procurement (terminals, depots, truckers, stevedores etc.) and overall supervision of the operational, financial and commercial activities in all Brazilian Ports.

Itajaí Area, Brazil

Manager of the company´s branch office in Itajai, the second most important container port in Brazil. Acted as agent for Grimaldi Lines, NYK Lines, Clipper Group, Global Transporte Oceanico, Kent Line, IRISL. Responsible for the offices of Sao Francisco do Sul and Imbituba as well.

Responsible for opening up the branch office of this major regional shipping agency, with headquarters in Rio Grande, RS. Turned out to become at the time the largest shipping agency and port operator in the port of Itajai.

Joined the company as Assistant Operations Manager, later promoted to Operation Manager. As such was responsible for port operations of liiner and tramp vessels attended by the agency. Major accounts were MOL, Brisa Lines and Ybarra.

The institution operated as a development agency for the State of Rio Grande do Sul and my job was to promote international contacts, organize business missions to the State and seek opportunites for local companies to enter into joint-ventures, obtain capital and technology.
