A14 Section 3, Cambridgeshire

Working for the A14 integrated delivery team, as part of the ICE QUEST scholarship, I worked as a site engineer installing culverts, reinforced concrete headwalls and network drainage.I set out lines and levels for subcontractors using total stations and GPS equipment, checked formwork and rebar and oversaw concrete pours. This required a high and efficient work rate, good communication and teamwork.

Grafham Water Treatment Works, Cambridgeshire

Working for Anglian Water as part of the @One Alliance, as part of the ICE QUEST scholarship, I oversaw the steel frame erection and fit out of the new sodium hypochlorite dosing building.I took responsibilities surveying the site, briefing and supervising subcontractors, preparing work permits and undertaking safety checks on site.

Crossrail Paddington Station, London

Working for a Skanska-Costain joint venture, as part of the ICE QUEST scholarship, I took responsibilities managing subcontractors for asbestos removal and internal soft strip as part of the enabling works for the partial demolition of a grade 1 listed building.I also drafted RAMS and task briefing sheets, and learned a variety of engineering techniques used across site a different stages of construction.
