I remotely work from home. Leveraging my experience and knowledge I work collaboratively with off shore staff to ensure business continuity of a wide range of application and infrastructure Windows servers, both physical and virtual. Ensure the VMware and Hyper-V virtualised infrastructures are performing to requirements and areproactively kept up to date with latest security patches/OS upgrades. Manage and resolve hosthardware issues in a timely manner to ensure the continuity of the environment. Use Service Now to manage Incidents and change tickets to meet documented SLA’s and ensurebusiness continuity. Participate in on-call rota to cover incidents during overnight and weekends. Participate in bridge calls to collaboratively resolve high impact incidents. Liaise with 3rd party vendors for hardware and software support when required. Proactively create and amend technical documentation in the Confluence collaboration tool to keepcolleagues and more junior engineers up to date. Analyse and investigate repeat incidents to determine root cause. Research resolutions and suggestremediation actions. Test fixes before rolling out to production systems via change control process. Fullydocument fixes to share with IT teams and management. Analyse Windows Server and VMware performance logs to help investigate problems and incidents.Recommend actions based on results of investigations. As part of a Windows upgrade program I provision new servers, ensuring challenging projecttimescales are met and production standards are adhered to. Ensure server monitoring is in place for effective preventative maintenance.

Provided 2nd and 3rd Line support for Windows serves and desktop PC's, hardware and software, to all departments in British Airways. Often working in challenging environments with demanding timescales. This included working at regional and overseas sites. Worked with McAfee anti virus product ensuring desktop and server clients were kept up to date using the EPO product.

I was involved in the North Terminal project at Gatwick airport for 2 years installing computer cabling and computers ready for British Airways to move in. After 2 years I became a Senior Wireman, which meant running small projects with a small team of men around the British Airways Heathrow Campus.
