I am working with Postdoctoral researcher Gemma Clucas on her SCAT seabird diet study. As a part of this role, I work in the Lovette lab doing fecal metabarcoding on Seabird samples. In addition to the fecal metabarcoding, I will also be traveling to white island in Shoals for a field component, where I will be collecting tern fecal samples and collecting data on Common and Roseate tern nests.

Alongside my labwork I am working with postdoctoral researcher Andrew Stillman on his woodpecker diet research. As part of this position, I conduct woodpecker foraging observations and woodpecker banding in order to better understand how the emerald ash borer effects woodpeckers and vice versa

Throughout this spring I have worked with Dr. Miyoko Chu at the lab of Ornithology as a part of the Bird Friendly Campus initiative. The goal of this iniative is to reduce bird window collisions across Cornell's campus in order to conserve migrating bird populations. As a part of this role I have communicated the importance of bird safe windows to different stakeholders across campus, as well as drafted a bird and human health safety protocol. I am not currently working in this role as of summer 2023, but plan to resume work with the iniative in the fall.
