Hired initially to maintain the charitable organization's web site, archived records and communications, my responsibilities grew when the COVID-19 Pandemic hit to create virtual events and multimedia programs in place of in-person fundraising.

Working with the adult joint reconstruction clinic, I maintain the Hip Preservation Center clinical registry for data analysis and research. This has led to several groundbreaking observations that are now in the publication process. I have also gained six sigma experience and managed several personnel in the handling of clinical data.

I have designed and developed several websites for my employers, family and friends. Examples include: san-diego.arcsfoundation.org, sdorthosociety.com, and angelrisingmag.com.

I have always had a reputation as a "go to" person for computer and IT support. I am an expert in most computer software/hardware needs and am a very fast learner with new technology. I have a large network of clients that I am "on-call" to assist with troubleshooting, training, or creating content.

After being let go from full-time research work due to an expiring NASA grant, I was asked to come back on a part-time basis to continue work on human physiology for space exploration. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic required that no clinical research be performed during my first year back. We were able to develop a new lower body negative pressure device for use by astronauts and begin testing it before the lab was closed with the PI's retirement.

With over 25 years of experience employed as a bioengineer in the departments of surgery (neurology and orthopaedic surgery) and radiology, I have worked on numerous projects to improve the human condition. Certified as an electrodiagnostic technician, I worked for 3 years performing nerve studies on patients with ALS, diabetes, HIV and chronic pain. I then worked in orthopaedic biochemistry where I investigated tissue engineering methods to repair and restore cartilage and ligamentous tissues. Several of these projects were in collaboration with major orthopedic companies. My work with meniscal tissues led to collaborations with radiology and methods of image analysis using novel MRI sequences to describe the mechanical condition of human tissues noninvasively. With experience, I became a lab manager, conducting and overseeing all biomechanical experiments. This led me to the human physiology laboratory where I investigated the effects of exercise and microgravity on microvascular flow and changes in muscle physiology. I have designed devices for medical use and have two patents. Through the years, I have produced numerous reports and over 50 research publications that describe my work. As of June 2023, researchgate.com indicates that I have been cited 1,168 times in the literature and have an overall research interest score of 634.
